Summary
A white-painted fitted vanity cupboard, English, second quarter 20th century, designed by Ernö Goldfinger, the cupboard doors with chromed knob handles, the doors opening to reveal the interior fitted with a mirror to the back and a mirror to the inside of each cupboard door, the mirrors affixed with a chromed rivet to each corner, the back mirror plate flanked on both sides by a niche, each with two adjustable glass shelves, the interior base of the cupboard covered with black laminate, a pull-out slide below, the interior of the cupboard with a light and switch, the whole vanity cupboard set above a lower externally matching cupboard.
Provenance
Owned by Ernö Goldfinger and Ursula Ruth Blackwell, also known as Mrs Ernö Goldfinger. Purchased by the National Trust in 1994.
