Summary
A painted pine high dresser, English, 19th century and later, the rack with moulded cornice above two banks of four adjustable shelves, between shaped sides, the base with scrubbed pine top above two banks of four drawers spacing a pair of cupboard doors, on a plinth base.
Provenance
By descent until, following the death of Edward William Spencer Cavendish, 10th Duke of Devonshire (1895 - 1950), Hardwick Hall and its contents were accepted by HM Treasury in part payment of death duties and transferred to the National Trust, in 1959.
