Summary
Longcase clock, oak and walnut case. Painted metal face inscribed. Broken scroll crest pediment, concave hollow in centre. Face with arched top behind a glazed door, oak framed with inner band of walnut. Fluted walnut columns either side of face, gilded capital and base. Applied fret half-key pattern under crest and on lower moulded cornice of clock head. Long case of oak, fluted walnut quarter colonnettes on corners, door with ogee top, walnut banding around edge. Plain base below moulded cornice, the chamfered corners fluted. Pierced brass key escutcheon. Clock face of coated steel, rococo leaf decoration painted in black in each corner, stags in centre. Numerals also painted in black. Moon face painted in polychrome fits into semi-circular top section. Areas of walnut, e.g. colonnettes affected by woodworm. Subsidiary calendar dial.
