Summary
A black bakelite telephone, with a u-shaped handset resting on a moulded holder, surmounting a rounded rectangular box with a sloping front. The front centred with a spring loaded wheel pierced with ten holes, over a numerical ring. The telephone issuing a long black plastic clad cable with a telephone resistor in black plastic halfway down the length.
Marks and inscriptions
To the sloping front.: Letters of the alphabet split into threes or pairs and accompanied by one number from 0-9. To centre of dialling ring.: On a circular disc of inserted paper "DIAL / 999" "FIRE / POLICE / AMBULANCE" over "100 OPERATOR / 01-794 4681"
