Summary
One of a pair of wooden bookends made at school by Elizabeth Goldfinger (born 1936). L-shaped with arch-topped upright and rectangular base, fitted together with mortice and tenon joints. On the base is mounted a small cast iron sculpted head, with a long nose and large ears.
Provenance
Owned by Ernö Goldfinger and Ursula Ruth Blackwell, also known as Mrs Ernö Goldfinger. Purchased by the National Trust in 1994.
