Full description
Barbara Pniewska-Krasińska (1923-88) was the daughter of the distinguished Polish architect Bohdan Pniewski (1897-1965). She trained in Warsaw and in Paris and during the 1960s she showed her work in Warsaw, London and Tel-Aviv. At her exhibition at the Hamilton Galleries in 1967, she showed thirteen works from 1966, all in aluminium and with the same title, ‘Closed Form in Space’. Many of her works employ a formula in which an abstract design is inserted into the space of an aluminium panel. Jeremy Warren, 2018
