Summary
A laminated birch plywood armchair, English, circa 1965, designed by Elizabeth Goldfinger, constructed of five pieces using a slot-together technique, the back is adjustable with two positions possible, with a gros point needlework headrest cover and seat cushion, the black, white and grey needlework forming an abstract mixture of letters which spell 'Ursula'. Elizabeth Goldfinger, the daughter of Ernö and Ursula, trained as a furniture designer at the Central School of Art & Design. She designed the 'Liz Box' (NT 112500) and a table (NT 112493) also located at 2 Willow Road.

Owned by Ernö Goldfinger and Ursula Ruth Blackwell, also known as Mrs Ernö Goldfinger. Purchased by the National Trust in 1994.
