Summary
Photograph of Ellen Terry as Imogen in CYMBELINE performed at the Lyceum in 1896. Inscribed on reverse 'Goodbye Imogen 1896. Think of me like this. Goodbye everbody at the farm, 192...' also 'Keep this for a while, myself E.T. mother'. (Pencil note 'copy on show, original in store').
Provenance
Photograph believed to have been owned by, or given to, EllenTerry (1847-1928) or her daughter Edith Craig (1869-1947) and came to National Trust in 1939 when Edith Craig transferred to Smallhythe Place (including buildings, land and contents) to the Trust.
