Summary
Pair of feminine white silk satin slippers with bilateral seams at the waist and edges bound with white taffeta ribbon. With pink satin covered low heels and brown fine leather sole and large appliquéd pink silk pleated rosettes at throat; cream plain weaved insole (linen ?), white leather lined quarter with stiffened rear, and undyed coarse linen (?) lined vamp. An unreadable handwritten inscription on the inner side of the quarters of each shoe is present and a paper label that has lost its information found on the insole of the PL shoe. Dated circa 1850.
