Portrait miniature, watercolour on ivory, Marion Terry (1853-1930) by Mabel Terry Lewis (fl.1887-1899). Rectangular. Head and shoulders portrait of a woman, turned to left, left profile, wearing a white dress. Grey eyes, pink complexion, auburn hair. Unpainted ivory background. Signed: Mabel Terry Lewis. Provenance
Believed to have been owned by or given to Ellen Terry (1847-1928) or her daughter Edith Craig (1869-1947) and came to the National Trust in 1939 when Edith Craig transferred Smallhythe Place (including buildings, land and contents) to the Trust.
