Full description
A gilt metal hair ornament circa 1825 fashioned as a stylised spray of blossom with velvet lined 'petals' and deficient of all its stones. Donated to Smallhythe Place by Mrs Eindhoven. Report by John Benjamin Honorary Jewellery Advisor August 2021.
Provenance
Believed to have been owned by or given to Ellen Terry (1847-1928) or her daughter Edith Craig (1869-1947) and came to the National Trust in 1939 when Edith Craig transferred Smallhythe Place (including buildings, land and contents) to the Trust.
