Summary
19th century light oak chair of farthingale design, the four cylindrical turned legs joined by stretchers with scroll shaped undersides, the stuffed seat and back upholstered in woven suede-like material, the uprights of the back terminating in carved lions' heads.

Designed by E.W.Godwin as part of the Shakespeare dining room set.
