Marks and inscriptions
"In 1756 a 2nd Battalion of the 4th Foot was raised and, two years later, was renamed The 62nd Regiment. In 1782 it was given the title Wiltshire Regiment. Amalgamation with the 99th Food Duke of Edinburgh's Lanarkshire Regiment took place in 1881, and the 1st and 2nd Battalions The Duke of Edinburgh's Wiltshrie Regiment were formed. The present title was adopted in 1920. In 1959 the Regiment will become part of The Duke of Edinburgh's Royal Regiment (Berkshire and Wiltshire). The title of the Wiltshire Regiment will be perpetuated in the Territorial Army Battalion" printed inside card
