Oblong bronze plaque, awarded to WSC in commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the birth of Benjamin Franklin, and the 50th anniversary of the Poor Richard Club of Philadelphia. Formerly part of the Heirloom Collection.
Full description
Probably presented to Churchill at the same time as the Benjamin Franklin medal in January 1956 by Joseph S. Clark Jr., former Mayor of Philadelphia at Benjamin Franklin House, Craven Street, The Strand. The Poor Richard Club comprised mostly of advertising agents was disbanded in the 1970s.
