Scale of feet, attributed to George Richardson (Edinburgh 1736 - London 1817). Christie's description to George Richardson. On reverse in ink: "Candelabrum" [in hand of 1st Baron Scarsdale?], with addition in pencil: "on Great Staircase". Watermark: "JWhatman".

Attributed to George Richardson for Nathaniel Curzon, 1st Baron Scarsdale. By descent to Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale. Acquired by gift as part of the transfer of Kedleston Hall to the National Trust in 1986.
