Summary
Indian chauri (fly-whisk). The handle is made of carved ivory, with the core to the tassel made in wood. The wooden core is wrapped in silk threads, wrapped metal threads and ribbons of metal. The silks are predominantly red, green and gold. The base has gold metal fringe hanging from the bottom. The tassel is made of long white hairs, possibly horse hair.
