Summary
Border piece of bright mid-blue silk velvet with a floral design stamped into the velvet. Two stripes down either long edge. Made up of two pieces seamed together. Tacks holes along one edge suggesting it has been used as a pelmet. Each piece is interlined with linen and lined with dark brown glazed cotton. Found in Burmese Poongyi Box No.441 (V & A Catalogue 1927). Condition: Silk velvet in very good condition. Tack holes through the edge. Deep folds from storage. Lining in good condition. Tears near the joined piece.
