Summary
Indian ceremonial garland. This is a flat garland. The front is made up of 13 red satin sections linked together. They are heavily embroidered with gold and silver bullion and gold spangles. There is gold fringing around the edge. The central section is an inverted teardrop shape; from this hang square section gold bullion and green glass beads. Around the back of the neck there are six gold ribbons. At the back, each section is lined with gold fabric. The round sections all have a more predominantly orange fabric lining.
