Summary
A chess piece from Murshidabad, Bengal. It is the rook and in the shape of a boat. It has a narrow hull and at the front a head of an animal (crocodile). There is a canopy on the boat deck. 'Sixteen carved ivory chessmen - Murshidabad, Bengal' (Christie's entry)
