Summary
A silver casket with gilt decoration for containing an address from the Calcutta Trade Association. It has Greek figures standing at each corner, at either side there are lugs in the shape of elephant heads. The front and back have appliqué medals, an inscription on one side and the Royal coat-of-arms on the other. The lid is hinged and opens using a handle in the shape of a crown; it has two lion either side. 'A silver casket, partly gilt, containing an address from the Calcutta Trade Association' (Christies entry)

Curzon Collection acquired by gift as part of the transfer of Kedleston Hall to The National Trust in 1986.
