Summary
A Burmese silver hair ornament for a woman. The top part has a foliated conical shape with a semi-circular middle section that has a decoration of repoussé bosses; the base is made of a thick needle that would have been placed in the hair. Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
