Summary
A small silver shrine. The central deity is probably Krishna as there is a kneeling Hanuman in front of him. There are two detachable figurines on either side. The back of the shrine is also detachable and has a makara head at the top and five cobra heads providing shelter for the deity. 'A small silver shrine with three idols' (Christie's entry)
Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
