Summary
A Japanese gong (shoko). It is a ritual gong used for Buddhist chants (shomyo). The gong is connected to a long wooden stand and is decorated with copper in the shape of three flaming wish-granting jewels. The painting on the gong is of three lions circling each other among flowing red ribbons.
