Summary
A casket from Mumbai. It is made from five glass panels with wooden egdes that have been covered in gold and silver thread appliqué. The base of the casket is covered in velvet. It was made for containing an address from the National Mohammedan Association of Bombay. Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
