Summary
An album containing text and photographs of the Delhi Coronation Durbar. It is bound in white leather with a Royal coat-of-arms in red and gilt on the cover. Along the spine there is the inscription HISTORY OF THE DELHI CORONATION DURBAR 1903 in gilt. 'An album of photographs illustrating Delhi Coronation Durbar, January 1st, 1903 - inscribed and dated, in lacquered wood box - Kashmir (1959 Box only)' (Christie's entry)
Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
