Summary
A quiver with tapestry style decoration. It is conical in shape and the belt could have been worn in a variety of ways due to the different loops, on the reverse, has a plain red piece of wool. 'A leather sword belt, embroidered in coloured silks with a partly gilt silver buckle - Arabian (Muscat)' (Christies entry)
Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
