Summary
An Indian ceremonial spear. It is made of a wooden shaft that has been lacquered in red and has two bands of punched holes below the two-pronged spearhead that has koftgari inlay in gold. The spike has three foliated rings. Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
