Summary
Arrow with feather fleching and point made from metal with straight sides, barbed shoulders and a sharp, acute-shaped distal. Just below the arrow head, there is a series of bands of cane wrapped around the shaft in black, brown and white. The arrow is used by the Mishmi tribe, who reside along the border of Eastern Bengal and Assam. Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
