Summary
Mughul arm-guard made of brass. At the base there are two rectangular sections alternating with chain mail so that it may be secured around the arm. The decorations seem to be Persian influenced and is of hunters on horse back. The interior has a cushioning of red cotton. Provenance
Purchased in 1986 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund from Francis Curzon, 3rd Viscount Scarsdale (1924-2000). Gifted to the National Trust in 1987 by the National Heritage Memorial Fund.
