Summary
Right hand folding shutter, covers window in upper part of door to Garden Porch. Fits into recess in the thickness of the wall on either side. Two sections hinged together with smaller inner section which is two panelled, plain, hinged to the outer section by two brass hinges and small brass panel with central hole at bottom - takes key to fasten shutter to porch door. Outer section is hinged to the wall by two brass hinges and is plain on inner side to match small shutter when closed. On its outer surface, visible through glass glass door when closed, is elaborate carving with motifs used in fixed carvings in the room. This surface is visible when shutters are open and matches carving on lower door. Circular brass ring attached to circular base on outer face of outer section for closing shutters.
