Summary
A Victorian oak metamorphic chair forming library steps circa 1880-1885. The cresrail carved with foliage and flowerheads with square faceted supports and legs of similar form, opening to form steps with four treads. The underside retains the original embossed metal trade label reading; PLUCKNETT (and) STEEVENS / CABINET MAKERS / AND / UPHOLSTERERS / WARWICK (and) LEAMINGTON.
