Summary

Copper alloy commemorative plaque inscribed "The Sir William Hodgson Wing. This wing of the hospital, opened in 1939, shall be known as the Sir William Hodgson Wing in order to commemorate his great interest in the establishment of the hospital and his long service as chairman to the responsible committee of the Lancashire County Council". With engraved coat of arms above.

Originally from Biddulph Grange Orthopaedic Hospital.
