Summary
A rectangular box for playing cards, with a dark blue cover and gold interior, which is split into two compartments. The exterior surface carries an impressed image in gold depicting a soldier on either side of a coat of arms. The base is decorated with two identical images from the reverse side of playing cards, depicting three Coldstream guards, the left image has a red border and the right image one of blue.

Purchased from the estate of the late Lord Wraxall with the assistance of the NHMF and donations from members and supporters.
Marks and inscriptions
CORDE / RECTO / ELATIA / OMNES (lettering printed on the folds of a scroll emblem, which emerges on either side from a coat of arms motif. This emblem appears at the bottom of each card on the exterior base and on the exterior surface of the lid)
