Summary
A late nineteenth century Anglo-Indian rosewood and sandalwood stationery box, with two doors dividing the interior, each holding a picture frame on their reverse. The sectioned interior is heavily decorated with carving, one segment appearing to display Arabic? lettering, and carries a small engraved presentation plate. A drawer and writing surface covered with green textile are located at the front, and can be accessed by movement of the lock catch and a button on the base.
