Summary
One of two candlesticks with stems made from real sword hilts and the three feet from three real brass spurs. The hilt has a shagreen grip decorated with a twisted thread, while the brass guard is decorated with an oval element enclosing the flamboyant overlaid initials V R, surmounted by a crown. The sword would have been that of a British Infantry Officer.
