A giltwood chair, French, circa 1780. Upholstered in silk damask, the low arched back and downswept arms with ribbon-twist detail and outswept scroll terminals, the wide and deep seat raised on fluted tapering legs headed with floral rosettes and terminating in castors.
Bequeathed to the National Trust by Mrs C.V. Lawson in 1981.
