A fine Louis XVIII Aubusson tapestry carpet woven with a central medallion and segmental spandrels with birds, scrolls and foliage in fresh colours on an off white ground surrounded by light brown scrolling foliage on a snuff coloured ground, the broad borders with panels of foliage and blue and white geometrical designs enriched throughout with silver thread and signed in the selvedge. Manufacturer. Royal Aubusson de Chs Sallandrouze Lamornaix', fitted to the room.
