Summary description

Oil painting on panel, An Unknown Woman (possibly Joanna of Austria, Princess of Portugal [1535 - 1573]), French School, mid to late 16th century. A portrait of a full-faced woman, turned to the right, wearing a ruff with pearl drop jewel and many slashed sleeves.


Bequeathed to the National Trust, along with the house, furniture and other contents collected by Sir Walter Jenner, 2nd Bt (1860 - 1948), in 1949.
