One of a pair of French candelabra in gilt and patinated bronze, each cast as a nude female figure supporting four candle sconces over her shoulders and leaning against pedestals supporting Venetian urns, standing on Griotte marble plinths. C.1800. Probably part of a garniture supplied in 1803 by Martin-Eloy Lignereux. (NT/UPP/M/2a is other in pair).
