Trompe de Chasse, hunting horn, by Gautrot, 1880-90. Triple coiled with mouthpiece. Marked 'G A Gautrot Brevette, a Paris, c.1880'. In notebook no.4, page 4 (1340945.4) Charles Wade refers to: 'Music Room 24. French Horn by Gautrot Brevete a Paris.' 'Bought September 1935, Southwold' (M. Jessup).
