Oil painting on canvas, RYS 'Zoe', British (English) School, mid 19th century. The RYS (Royal Yacht Squadron) Zoe was the smaller schooner belonging to Sir Bruce Chichester, 2nd Bt (1842–1881) that preceded the Erminia which he bought in 1869. The Zoe is seen in profile facing left on a choppy grey sea, the RYS burgee visible at the top of the right hand mast. Other RYS yachts surround the Zoe to the left and beyond it in the distance.
