Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Robert Edward Chichester of Hall (1872-1958) as a Boy, British (English) School, 1880. A half-length portrait of Robert Edward Chichester as a young boy, seated facing left and looking out at the spectator. He wears a navy blue sailor suit, the lighter blue collar trimmed with white lace at the neck. He has short auburn hair, rosy cheeks and large brown eyes. A stretch of water, probably the sea, lies behind him with land visible beyond and a tree at the far right.
