A Flemish Psalter dated to the 13th century, this volume contains the Book of Psalms and other devotional material, including many illuminated miniatures. The Morocco binding is of later date, possibly 17th or 18th century. It is a book of major importance but it has yet to be established how it came to be in the possession of this family.
A French 14th-century Psalter, inscribed on vellum with numerous illuminated initials, in a calf binding. It is displayed in a walnut-veneered box with boxwood edges, which was by James Bellchambers.
