Summary
George II/III bureau bookcase. The upper part enclosed by a pair of raised panelled doors with cross banded styles and rails, surmounted by a moulded straight cornice. Fitted with two rush light slides under doors. The interior is fitted with a central pigeon hole. 2 long and 4 short draws to either side. Inside are movable shelves. The lower part has a fitted small cupboard in the centre, secret drawers, 6 pigeon holes and 6 small drawers are enclosed by a fall front with broad cross banding and fine herring bone inlay. 3 long drawers and 2 short drawers below bear original handles and escutcheons. Circa 1740.
