Summary
A wardrobe, one of a near pair of bird's eye maple wardrobes, English, circa 1850, one slightly larger than the other, en suite with NT 960288, a marble-topped corner washstand. Both wardrobes of very high quality. With canted corners, and topped by an elaborate scroll-pierced pediment above a door with an ogee-arched mirror plate beneath scroll-pierced spandrels. The interior with fluted hooks. The canted corners and sides with applied 'panel' beading and bosses, and with corner columns with turned capitals. On a plinth base.

Purchased by the National Trust by private treaty sale from Lord St Oswald in 2010.
