Summary
Portrait miniature, watercolour painting on ivory, Possibly The Hon. Booth Grey (1740-1802), by Nathaniel Hone R.A. (Dublin 1718-London 1784). 1760. Oval. Head and shoulders portrait of a man, turned to the left, gazing at the spectator, wearing a grey coat with blue collar, grey waistcoat and white cravat. He has dark eyes, black hair en queue and a swarthy face modelled with firm stipple. Signed and dated right in paint 'NH / 1760'.
