Summary
Oil painting on canvas, A Mastiff and Small Dog, British (English) School, 18th Century. A large pale brown mastiff, turned to the left, and a small white dog also turned to the left, a vat to the left and a wooden bench running across the whole painting. Probably painted at Dunham, the vat can still be seen in the Entrance Passage (DUN/F/84).
Provenance
Bequeathed to the National Trust with the house, estate and all the contents of Dunham Massey by Roger Grey, 10th Earl of Stamford (1896 - 1976)
