Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Called Elizabeth Vincent, Lady Acland (d. by 1650), but really Queen Henrietta Maria (1609–1669), follower of Sir Anthony van Dyck (Antwerp 1599 - London 1641), inscribed lower left: Elizh. Daughter of Sr. Francis Vincnet/Wife of Sir John Acland Bart/ 1644. Portrait of a young woman, in the style of Queen Henrietta Maria, half-length, turned to the left, gazing at spectator, dark coloured hair, with tight curls framing her face. She wears a pearl necklet and drop-pearl earrings. She wears a green brocade décolleté gown, pinning back with pearls, the gold lining of her sleeves. Dark background. The daughter of Francis Vincent, 1st Bt (c.1568-1640) and Sarah Paulet (d.1608) his first wife. Elizaberth married Sir John Acland, 1st Bt (c.1591-1647).
