Summary
Oil painting on canvas, Pastor Lemmens, Flemish School; inscribed: Pastor in Brecht 1665. (Brecht is in Belgium.) A three-quarter length portrait of a clergyman, facing, bald pate with grey hair over ears, moustache, small goatee beard beneath bottom lip, his right hand touches his breast his left hand holds a black biretta, wears a voluminous white cassock with small bands of embroidery at top of sleeve and beneath small white collar. He also wears an orange embroidered stole. An elaborate cartouche, top right, surmounted with cupid head and wings and containing in the central oval a zig-zag snake (?).

Gifted to the National Trust by The Lemmens Family, 2004. Julius Drewe's sister Ada (1850-1929) married Jean Lemmens (1850-1902)
