Summary description

Oil painting on canvas, British School, Portrait of a Gentleman purportedly of the Peek Family, 18th century A half- length portrait of a man, looking to the left, in a dark green frock coat with gilt buttons with D V under a crown (Devonshire Volunteer?) and white cravat. He has a florid complexion and white hair.


This item forms part of the original Drewe family collection at Castle Drogo. It was transferred to the National Trust in 1986.
